I've divided my web design portfolio into 3 different sections: Web Sites (below), SEO, and Flash. This distinction is helpful, due to the fact that a website's purpose largely determines the tools and methods that should go into its design. For example, Flash (as a general rule) does not easily lend itself to SEO, so Flash animations aren't as likely to appear on sites where high search engine rankings are the primary goal.
Client: OII Intraocular Lens
Completed: Spring 2004
Description: Corporate site for a medical device manufacturer.
Skills: Design, illustration, copywriting, product photography.
Programs: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Target Audience: Medical professionals, product distributors.
Challenge: Present information to both doctors and distributors. Comply with FDA linkage regulations concerning international/domestic products.
Client: Lost & Found Psychic Readings
Completed: Winter 2004
Description: E-Commerce site for online psychic services.
Skills: Site design, animation, article/copy writing, SEO.
Programs: Flash, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Target Audience: General public; New Age enthusiasts.
Challenge: Design site from scratch and integrate seamless Flash banners. Optimize for search engines despite use of Flash and graphic link buttons.
Project: CSS Zen Garden Submission
Completed: FEB 2008
Description: Demonstration of CSS-based design.
Skills: Web Design, Illustration.
Programs: CSS, Photoshop.
Target Audience: Web designers.
Challenge: Give the web page in question (www.csszengarden.com) an entirely new look - without modifying its HTML code.
